Firm Profile
The Law Office of Paul M. Toulouse opened for business in Washington, DC on January 1, 1977. In the early years, the firm was involved in civil litigation, including domestic relations and personal injury matters, as well as criminal cases. In the 1980s, the firm expanded in size and scope and also represented clients in tax planning and preparation, estate planning, probate and trust administration, business planning and representation.
In 1984, I founded the Washington, DC firm of Toulouse and Spillan and was managing partner for ten years. The firm expanded its practice into Maryland and added bankruptcy and real estate matters to its client portfolio.
Toulouse and Spillan ceased operations in 1993 and the Law Office of Paul M. Toulouse reopened in Washington, DC in 1994. The practice began concentrating in matters relating to estate planning, probate and trust administration, elder law, guardianships and conservatorships, real estate, tax planning and preparation, business planning and representation and civil litigation relating to these practice areas.
My practice goals are to continue to achieve professional satisfaction by assisting my clients in solving their legal problems and facilitating their legal needs. I strive to provide quality legal representation at affordable cost. I consistently achieve these goals by utilizing the collaborative relationships which I have developed over the past forty five years in the business and legal community, as well as the litigation experience which I have acquired by practicing law in local and federal courts and administrative agencies in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
I also extensively draw upon the resources which modern technology has to offer and engage associate counsel, experts and additional support staff when client needs require that the team be expanded in order to achieve a positive outcome
